Heavy April moon:
stick trees devastate a season,
and brittle leaves smash feebly
on windows.
Filled with liquor you
kissed
my neck
and before the other eyes of men
you swallowed the moon
which dipped through the window.
Later you claimed no memory
but your belly
swelled wide
on the moon-kiss.
